3 Gifts

1:00 Minute Read.
Spoiler alert – this post has nothing to do with real estate.
Every year we watched our young kids open Christmas gifts with wild abandon. We tried to be good parents. We wanted to lavish gifts on our kids without turning them into little, entitled monsters. One parent offered this advice: “Set the limit to three gifts. You know, Jesus got 3 gifts on his Christmas birthday - gold, frankincense and myrrh. If it’s good enough for Him, it’s gotta be good enough for our kids.” As odd as it sounded, that 3-gift advice worked pretty well.
What 3 gifts would you like for Christmas?
The aim of Christmas is celebrating the greatest gift of all – God’s entry into humanity and extending His grace into every willing heart. The birth of Jesus is God reaching out his arm to us – doing something we could not do for ourselves. In all our busyness, deal-making and sprinting to make deadlines, I’d encourage you to set aside real estate for a moment and consider the real beauty of living. Here are 3 gifts God wants you to enjoy this season. I hope you embrace them as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ this Christmas. LOVE – “We know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love.” I John 4:16
LIFE – “I came to so that you can have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10
PEACE – “Grace & peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” 2 Peter 1:2
Merry Christmas, from my family to yours.
